You Are Not Here is a dislocative tourism agency. Participants use two sided maps to navigate the streets of one city while walking through the streets of another. When they reach an area marked as a hot spot on the map they find a sticker or a sign that refers them to a telephone number through which they can get an audio guide of their required destination. Download a map on youarenothere.org, take your phone with you and go tour Gaza through the streets of Tel Aviv or Baghdad through the streets of New York.

From the Haunted Letters series: a poster size etching. The sentence was lifted from a document written (probably) by Ulrike Meinhof, initiator of Germany’s violent and militant left-wing group Baader-Meinhof.

From the Haunted Letters series: two new type-faces were made. The English font depicting the Pogroms against Jews in the Ukraine (17th century). The Hebrew font is based on the legend of The Wandering Jew. both narratives where drawn into the ABC, Each letter depicting the events from start to finish. These type-faces are used for writing texts of heroism and manhood.

From the Haunted Letters series: These double posters were made for an exhibition in Berlin called “Israeli Shots”. The Brothers Grimm tale of Hansel and Gretel was drawn into the Latin ABC, Each letter depicting the tale’s scenes from start to finish. This new singular “type-face” was used to embed various readings into the posters: DAUGHTER FOR BETROTHAL / SEEKING A MALE SCION / OF TEUTONIC STOCK / TO JOIN IN WEDLOCK / TO AN INFANT BRIDE. / TO STRIKE ANEW / THROUGH SACRED VOWS / LONG SEVERED ROOTS.

Atlas Gloves

Atlas Gloves is a DIY physical interface for controlling 3D mapping applications like Google Earth. The user interface is a pair of two illuminating gloves that can be used to track intuitive hand gestures like grabbing, pulling, reaching and rotating. The Open Source Atlas Gloves application can be downloaded here and operated from home using a webcam and two self-made illuminating gloves. A collaboration with Dan Phiffer.

London based studio Less Rain have collaborated with us to launch ‘Graffiti Studio: Separation-Wall’, the latest online graffiti vandalism location based on the wall built by the Israeli government, scattering the occupied Palestinian territories to bits. The Objective of ‘Graffiti Studio: Separation-Wall’ is to provide (through the power of the web) a global platform for discussion of the separation-wall using the language of graffiti – un-dictated by a single voice or language and free by nature. Pangaea

An audiovisual performance which is a collaboration between the two percussionists ‘Percadu’, the compositor Yechezkel Raz and Shual. In the show, premiered in the Israel Festival, two screens present the projection of a women’s image occupied in private, domestic metaphysic activity involving the imaginary ocean between the two screens. The image responded visually to the electronic track of the piece and contradicted the muscular presence of the two musicians on the stage.

The Milli ve’ Nilli Show

Concept, design, animation, and production system development for a pop-culture/media-critique animation series. Milli & Nilli switch roles as the ventriloquist and the doll- a constant power struggle between their contrasting characters. We used our own pixelated style to the extreme here and created a ways for the client (The Communication School) to develop their own episode using Adobe Flash and our asset system. Orli Gonen and Avital Barzilay wrote and dubbed Milli and Nill. The charachter design was based on our friends Tania Gilboa and Hilit Sheffer, the third sketch is based on our own Guy Saggee.
